About Castille

Castille is a popular community in the central area of Mission Viejo, California. Residents enjoy many home amenities and close proximity to schools, merchants, and recreation.

The Castile (Central) subdivision is comprised of 1,495 homes that ranged from 1,294 to 1,570 square feet of living space. All of these homes offer three bedrooms and two-car garages.

The Capistrano Unified School District maintains public education for this community with highly ranked facilities like Phillip J.Reilly Elementary School, Newhart Middle School, and Capistrano Valley High School. Several private school options are available with institutions like Sunflower Montessori, Carden Academy, Al Ridah Academy, and Cornerstone Community School. This is also the home of Saddleback College and there are several other colleges nearby like the University of California, Irvine.

Residents are eligible for membership at Lake Mission Viejo which offers swimming, fishing, boating, and paddle boarding. Movie screenings, fireworks, and concerts are also held throughout the summer. The lake is known for its catfish, bass, sunfish, and trout. Prizes are awarded to fishermen who catch tagged trout and the largest one caught as of 2006 was a little over 19 pounds.

The Kaleidoscope Courtyards and The Shops at Mission Viejo are two major shopping centers where you’ll find theaters, restaurants, stores, and entertainment.

There are many parks in this vicinity and Castille is near Oso Viejo Community Park, Jeronimo Open Space, and O’Neill Regional Park. The Mission Viejo Youth Athletic Park has five soccer fields and eight baseball fields. There is where many leagues hold their practices and competition. There are three golf courses in the city; Casta del Sol Golf Course, the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, and The Mission Viejo Country Club.
